While John Lewis’s 2018 Christmas advert may be grabbing today’s headlines – for the people of Dundee, there’s only one thing that marks the arrival of the festive season.

Broughty Ferry furniture store Gillies has revealed its highly-anticipated festive shopfront display.

The annual unveiling of the window feature has become a beloved local event and a feature of the festive calendar.

A big crowd gathered on Broughty Ferry’s Brook Street to watch the revealing of the Christmas display on Thursday morning.
