The V&A has been shortlisted for ‘Museum of The Year 2019’ – regarded as the most prestigious museum award in the world

Another day, another tremendous success in Dundee.
The city’s famous design museum, hot off the prize as of late and winner of several coveted awards, has been selected as one of five finalists for Art Fund Museum of the Year 2019.
The £100, 000 fund and title, which celebrates innovation and exceptional achievements in museums and galleries across the UK, is regarded as the most prestigious museum prize in the world.
The other four museums shortlisted for the title are HMS Caroline, Belfast; Nottingham Contemporary; Pitt Rivers Museum, Oxford; and St Fagans National Museum of History, near Cardiff.
The winning museum will be announced at a ceremony at the Science Museum, London, on Wednesday July 3 2019.
