TODAY: rumour has it Emeli Sande is headed to Dundee as part of her talent search among Scottish buskers

Award-winning singer-songwriter Emeli Sande took to Aberdeen’s streets earlier today in search of 5 outstanding street performers as part of a new BBC series.

‘Emeli Sande’s Street Symphony’ will follow the phenomenal talent as she begins her journey from her home in Alford, Aberdeenshire, and heads to Inverness, Glasgow and Edinburgh, and last but certainly not least… our wee city.

Emeli said:

Plucking the talent found on street corners and putting it into a big melting pot with a full on Symphony Orchestra is going to be mind blowing. As musicians we are storytellers and this series will tell the stories behind the music. I’m so excited about getting out onto the streets of Scotland to hear first-hand the talent that’s out there.

Rumour has it that the popular singer will be in Dundee TODAY (May 29) to scout street buskers following her Aberdeen trip.

Keep your eyes peeled, folks.

And if you’re a busker, get those vocal chords ready.
