Balgay Hill: Walk in the footsteps of the Victorians at this amazing city landmark

With Victoria Park flowing into it from the south, Lochee Park from the north and Balgay Cemetery from the West, Balgay Hill is the centrepiece of one of the city’s largest green spaces.

The parks and the wooded hill leading up to the Mills Observatory are perhaps Dundee’s most popular dog walking spots, while the historic cemetery is great for a stroll and some quiet contemplation.
Victorian lamp standards help to create a really special atmosphere in this park and its height also offers some great views over the Tay.

Balgay Hill offers some of Dundee’s most memorable walks.
